Ormesby St Margaret is centred around the village green withits village sign and war memorial. Near by there are plenty of facilities including local food shops, petrol station, pub, fish and chip shop, doctor, dentist and pharmacy.

The village has both a C of E parish church and a baptist chapel.

A first and middle school are both within the village with older children using buses to high schools in nearby Martham and Caister.

There are two village centres with a large variety of activities suiting all interests.

The large playing field on the edge of the village host local footbal matches and also has a bowls green.

Buses provide regular services to Great Yarmouth via Caister, Norwich and Cromer.

The nearest railway stations are at Great Yarmouth and Acle. Trains from here go to Norwich where there is an excellent service to London, Cambridge, the Midlands and the North West.
